Bob Ross MBA, Change and Transformation Specialist
MBA qualified with strong business acumen and programme management expertise, Bob has over 20 years of experience in managing large scale change and transformation programmes. The last 5 of these were with the Local Government Association Consultancy Service across a wide range of technical and care Services. Bob is considered a subject matter expert in change management and has taken lead roles in ERP implementations, designing and transitioning to shared service centres, reconfiguring highways management services and created public service review methodologies that have been adopted as national standards. Bob has also managed large scale down-sizing and redundancy programmes, re-deployments and TUPE projects including leading organisational design, Union negotiations and stakeholder management
Dynamic and engaging, Bob is also a vastly experienced facilitator and trainer of senior executives and staff up to MBA level. Bob has worked with two of the country’s top business schools in the development and delivery of programmes from certificate level managerial competencies to chief executive leadership events and pioneered the use of simulation training events which have been accepted nationally for the accreditation of public sector peer reviewers. His facilitation skills also apply well to conflict resolution, partnership creation and creative management.
Strong commercial management experience and ability to negotiate complex deals is exemplified by Bob’s recent personal winning and design of a £4.5m programme with the Department of Work and Pensions for the development of services geared to dealing with the financial/social effects of an Ageing Society. He also spearheaded the creation of a partnership with the Chief Fire Officers Association for an innovative national programme of operational capability reviews and in winning a contract for implementing performance management across seven fire and rescue services at three management levels.
